Lessons
Level up your percussion playing with in person or online lessons. You can easily schedule a time by getting in contact through the contact page. In person lessons can be in school or outside of school, depending on the band director. Online lessons will be held through Zoom. Please reference the studio policy for pricing on these lessons.
Maintenance
Keeping up with the maintenance of percussion equipment can be a time consuming and daunting task. If you would like assistance in this area, I would love to help. It can be anything from checking out drums, re-stringing a mallet instrument, adjusting marching harnesses. Anything you would like help with, I will do my best to help out. And if you or any students (perhaps percussion leadership) are interested, I will be happy to show how I maintain and repair equipment!
Online Courses
The online courses section are self-paced one-time purchases. There are a wide variety of topics and content that can be used by the student in the comfort of their own home, or as an aide for the music teacher in the classroom. Pricing will vary depending on length and content of the lesson. Package deals are also available.
Transcriptions
I’ve seen it in many of the schools I’ve worked at, and it was even that way when I attended high school. The drumline cadences are taught by rote from the upper classmen to the under classmen, and they just have to figure it out. Wouldn’t it be nice to have the music, so you can actually teach them the cadences? I can help with that! From good quality video/audio, I can turn those high school hand-me-downs into music you can teach, so there are no questions on “how to play that cadence???”
Clinics and Masterclasses
Having taught in public schools for some time, I understand not every school district is able to hire strictly a percussionist as a director. If you need a percussionist to lend their ear, or give a helping hand in teaching percussion fundamentals, I would be more than happy to come out to your program and help in any way I can. Percussion can be overwhelming and whether you need assistance tuning, teaching, balancing, or even maintenance on instruments. I would be happy to help. Please contact for pricing. Tuning
Tuning is yet another part of percussion that is time consuming and can be a little intimidating. The good news is, tuning is a very personal preference when it comes to drums. Whatever sound you’re looking for, I can come out and help you achieve that. Whether it is marching instruments or concert instruments, I will help you get the sound you’re looking for.
